Privacy Policy

Effective date: March 2026

1. What We Collect

When you visit WA Business Directory, we may collect standard web server logs including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referring URL. This information is used solely for operating and improving the site and is not sold or shared with third parties.

If you create an account, we collect your name and email address. Passwords are stored using industry-standard one-way hashing (bcrypt) and are never stored in plain text.

2. Business Listing Data

Business information displayed on this site is sourced exclusively from publicly available records. We do not collect or store private information about business owners beyond what appears in public government filings. See our About Our Data page for details.

3. Cookies

We use a minimal session cookie to keep you logged in if you create an account. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies. We do not use Google Analytics or similar services.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

5. Data Retention

Account information is retained until you request deletion. You may request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us. Server logs are retained for up to 90 days.

6. Your Rights

If you are a resident of California (CCPA) or the European Economic Area (GDPR), you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.

Note: Public business registration data (business name, address, registration status) is exempt from personal data deletion requests, as it originates from public government records.

7. Do Not Sell My Personal Information

We do not sell personal information. WA Business Directory does not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their marketing purposes. Business listing data displayed on this site is sourced exclusively from public government records — it is not personal data we have collected from individuals.

California residents may submit a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” request by emailing contact@olysoftware.com. Because we do not sell personal information, we expect most requests will be resolved by confirming this policy.

8. Business Listing Removal

If you are a business owner and believe your listing should be removed or corrected, please email contact@olysoftware.com with the business name, URL, and reason for the request. We will review and respond within 14 business days. Note that basic registration information sourced directly from public government records may not be eligible for removal.
